UNLABELED SESSIONS is a photography concept, that allows women to show their true self and build representation of all the beautiful variety of women's personalities, bodies and expressions.
Since I started photographing women my main focus was to make them feel special, but also to challenge them to open up and allow themselves to be vulnerable in front of my camera, allowing me to capture their personality.
Within this concept we challenge societal norms together - how women are put into certain categories, labeled how they’re supposed to be, act and look. Adding enormous pressure on our shoulders to fulfill ideals that aren’t serving us.
Growing up as a girl in a medium sized german town, I never had the feeling that I was a good fit with the label feminine, or at least what society tells you that femininity means. Later I felt the deep desire to fight those concepts and create my own reality, to choose to look at those descriptions more as an individual spectrum than clear definitions, to unlabel myself.
That’s why I think every single one of us needs liberation in order to be the person that feels right.
That's where I and the concept of the Unlabeled Sessions come into the picture. It's more than the regular photo shoot – an intimate experience, a journey to your core, celebrating you as the individual human being that you are. Find beauty within you–in your strengths, your flaws, your story, your vulnerability, your uniqueness, your weirdness. Allow yourself to be vulnerable and I’ll grant you a powerful feeling of liberation and confidence.

NOT YOUR USUAL PHOTO SHOOT
Your UNLABELED SESSION will take place in two separate parts. The main difference to a regular photo shoot is the INTERVIEW, which we'll have prior ( a week or 2) to the photo shooting.
The UNLABELED SESSION Interview catalogue has been curated, so I can paint a picture of Your personality, your needs, your fears and the relationship with your body. Based on you answers I choose individual questions to get a broad picture and put YOU into focus.
It will also help YOU figuring out and reflecting on what you want and need - the labels you wanna get rid of and the traits you want to celebrate.
Based on the insights you give me throughout the interview I create an individual concept for the set design, the lighting etc. for our individual session.
On the day of the shooting itself we'll have another talk to warm up and reflect on the interview together. We'll choose the final outfits together, drink a coffee or two (or tea, or lemonade :) ) and just have a good time together.
